I will do another, more thorough update shortly. Thank you all for your support and kindness! I'm sorry I have not been around a lot.
I have always struggled with stress, perhaps now more than ever. I would greatly appreciate any advice on reducing stress. I've been working more on developing a routine for myself. I've considered other possible strategies but am at somewhat of a loss for how to start. I've heard a bit about meditation and yoga but know so little about either.
Anyway, any input would be appreciated!
Take care all!

Meditation is just sitting down and breathing. Watch your breath. Slow down your breath. Let your thoughts come and go like clouds floating by. Try and smile while you do this. That's the basics anyway. If you can do it outdoors all the better.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many different types of yoga. Can you join a class? If you don't enjoy it try a new one. There are yoga classes specifically aimed at stress reduction often they advertise like this. There may be more focus on meditation and less strenuous poses. Working in a class with other people working on themselves (who are probably also totally stressed) can be wonderful.
Good luck! X
Hello,
ReplyDeleteThank you for checking in with us.
Sometimes sitting down and writing out each and every little thing and big thing that is stressing me out helps me to release it.
I also love to pick a movie i know will make me laugh so hard that I pee my pants and I watch it. Laughing helps me relieve stress.
Thinking of you and sending you peaceful thoughts.
xoxo
Hi, there,
ReplyDeleteI take 15min out of the day for concentrating on calm (breathing), focusing (positive moments of the day)and makea list of little things I will do for me. Every day some think, to show my appreciation and attention for myself. I increase the time to about 30min and add some wellness stuff, like soothing music, soft light and candles as well as a bot bath, manicure or treating myself to a massage. Yoga and / or Pilates for sure. For myself being out in nature or a garden is simply the best stree relief. Hugs to you xxx

I find clearing my mind and just breathing helps. I picture a calm place and just lay my hand on my abdomen and take slow deeps breaths.
